Class Description

One of the common threats to the food industry today is the erosion of sales and profits. It is no secret that store and department managers, have a direct impact on the sales and profits of your organization. Attending Advanced Dept. Leaders Academy will empower your managers to engage their teams to drive sales and profitability through individual responsibility and shared accountability throughout the entire store. Building tomorrow’s leaders today!

This interactive series is delivered virtually with a live instructor(s). Classes are ninety minutes each week for 7 weeks. Students who participate, complete all the assignments, and demonstrate grasp of the learning will receive a certificate of completion. Students will also be required to plan, execute, and report out on a Capstone Sales Project. One week prior to class students will receive participant invitation for orientation, participant materials and class syllabus.

  • Participants will learn strategies to maximize sales and profits during periods of high inflation.

  • Participants will learn how sales event planning can drive incremental sales profits.

  • Participants will leverage customer obsession mindset to drive employee engagement and deliver Successful Customer Outcomes.

  • Participants will learn how to create an accountable culture within their teams and improve their own personal accountability for delivering sales and profits throughout the entire store not just their area of responsibility.

  • Participants will learn change management strategies to minimize the disruption to their teams allowing them to focus on presentation, sales and delivering the ultimate customer experience

  • Participants will learn techniques for breaking the current paradigms of employee development and develop skills to help team members grow in their careers, increasing the bench strength, and improving retention throughout the store and individual departments.

  • Business Challenge- participants will be given a P&L statement to analyze and provide a business strategy to address the underperforming areas. Each student will report out results to the entire cohort to enable peer learning and collaboration.
