About Laurie
As a Human Resources Professional, Laurie has broad expertise in providing strategy, direction and innovative solutions to today’s complex business environments. She is a strategist who has been instrumental in bringing organizations to the next level. A strong and dynamic communicator. Her major strengths include training and development and people leadership strategy. Her breadth of experience crosses many industries including manufacturing, grocery retail and wholesale distribution, non-profit and human services. Her experience encompasses employee engagement, benefit administration, compensation programs, people leadership, sales skills, and learning & development. Her strong belief in perspective, inclusion and creative thinking was instrumental in developing programs that continued to bring the organizations she has served successfully forward.
Laurie has been at the helm in people leadership for retailers such as Shaw’s Supermarkets, Farm Fresh Food & Pharmacy, Shop N Save as well as consulting to independent retailers throughout the United States; where she had significant success in developing employee engagement programs. In addition to people leadership for retail, Laurie was the Director of Enterprise Learning (SUPERVALU University) for SUPERVALU, she also served as Associated Grocers of New England’s (AGNE) Director of Human Resources where she developed AG University. Laurie is the CEO of Aurora Business Solutions, offering a wide array of people leadership services with specialized programs for independent retailers.
Laurie has dedicated her professional life to Human Resources and was a trailblazer in the movement as a strategic HR business partner. She has advanced the HR profession through leadership and educational programs for SHRM, Manchester Area Human Resources Association, Metro West HR Association, Granite State HR Conference, Southern New Hampshire University and Tidewater Community College. She has also positively shaped business results through service on boards including; Child Health Services, Virginia Beach Social Services Advisory Board, University of New Hampshire Advisory Board, Tidewater Community College Women’s Advisory Board, and The American Nystagmus Network, a national organization for individuals with visual disabilities and served as its president. Laurie is an active member of the North Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club a GFWC chapter and serves on the Costal Organization of Human Resources. Laurie was the recipient of the Granite State HR Hero Award. In June of 2016 Laurie was the recipient of one of the Top Women in Grocery.
