About Marc

Marc Theophelakes is a Business Performance Consultant and Partner at Aurora Business Solutions, where he provides training, coaching and mentoring through our People and Leadership development programs. Marc educates clients on leadership, management, process improvement and lean principles. He also provides operational assessments and assists clients with developing operational standards. He is our “go to” person for project management and developing project plans as well.

Marc has 36 years of leadership experience in food retailing and supply chain. He has held positions of Global Chief Supply Chain Officer, VP of Retail Operations and many Senior Director and Director roles. He is a certified Lean/Six Sigma Master Blackbelt and a Certified Process Professional Master. He has worked with many reputable companies of all sizes such as Meijer, Shaw’s, Farm Fresh, Supervalu, and UNFI.

Over his career, Marc, has opened many new stores as well as lead many store teams through extensive remodels. He has broad project management experience leading Mergers and Acquisitions, divestitures of retail chains, and Greenfield warehouse & supermarket construction projects. He has led numerous Lean/Six Sigma process improvement projects as well.

Marc has been an integral part in developing store leadership and department leadership training programs for retailers of various sizes.

He is a proven leader and has developed high performing teams in Retail Operations, Buying and Merchandising, Supply Chain Strategy and Operations, and Lean/Six Sigma Process Improvement.

Marc enjoys competitive sports, hiking, boating and anything that will get him outdoors with his family.
